Background
Mansfield 4×4 was first formed in 1993, as a Land Rover specialist, and has subsequently moved to larger premises on three occasions as the company rapidly expanded to become the largest independent Land Rover service and repair specialist in Suffolk and north Essex.
The Manningtree workshop is conveniently situated between Colchester and Ipswich. Our Bury St Edmunds workshop opened in 2002, and quickly became popular with Land Rover owners in the area. It is conveniently situated between the Mercedes and VW Dealerships.
Jeep qualified technicians were employed in 2001, and other skills were acquired to enable all popular 4×4’s to be serviced and repaired. One of the owners of the company is Allmakes Ltd, the first European Parts Wholesaler to be authorised by Land Rover.
Workshops
The workshops are fully equipped to handle almost every task required for the Land Rover and Jeep market. This includes routine servicing, major transmission and engine overhaul, and vehicle upgrades.
Our workshops are able to interrogate on-board vehicle computers, read fault codes, and make corrections as required also they are equipped to carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on other 4×4’s and to prepare all 4×4’s for off road and expedition use. They are also able to convert all vehicles to LPG.
Parts
Both branches carry a large range of Land Rover parts and accessories, some Jeep items. They have a shop/ retail counter.
The Manningtree branch runs a van delivery service for Trade customers located in the areas from north of Ipswich to south of Colchester.
Parts are made to different quality levels, to satisfy different markets, but our stockholding is mainly a mixture of Genuine Land Rover and Jeep parts, and Original Equipment (OE). OE parts come from the parts manufacturers who supply the Vehicle Manufacturers.
